What is a monkeybox?

When I was a little girl, we had a pet monkey named Amanda. My Dad worked in the produce business, so each night he brought home that days culls in a big box - spotty cucumbers, pithy apples, limp celery, moldy oranges and the like. We called it a monkeybox. It was really just trash, but my Mom would take each piece of fruit and trim it, pare it and cut it up to make a beautiful fruit platter for Amanda. Even though it was deemed trash by one, it still had life left in it and was good for the purpose we needed it. That's how I live my life - thrifting, yard saling, looking for another's trash to be my treasure.

Zilch. Zero. Nadda.

I really feel like I should blog.

But,

I got nuthin'.

I haven't thrifted anything.

I haven't been anywhere.

I really haven't done a thing.

What about you?

Have you thrifted anything good?

Or been anywhere fun?

Or done anything at all?

'Cause.  I got Nuthin'.

Oh Shara, if you've got nuthin' I'm in the minus numbers. This broken ankle is really getting old!

One more week and I may get to WALK with the boot on. Still won't be able to drive so it's going to be a while before I can thrift.

The most exciting thing that's happening today is someone is coming to clean my house - she was here 2 weeks ago as a Christmas gift from my girls and did a wonderful job. Now to pick up some of the clutter so she can actually clean!

I'm hoping your thrifting sense tingles soon!
